The R.I.Historical Society maintains a complete archive of material pertaining to the island and adjacent neighborhoods. Our archive includes books, photographs, reproductions, memorabilia about and from the island. We have large relics from the island past, such as the cornerstone from the lunatic asylum to tiny objects like the tokens used on the Queensboro Bridge Trolley. We have over 130 volumes on different topics that contain a vast amount of history. Researchers are welcome to visit and explore the archives.
