Sunday was the second Sunday that Gloria Herman and I explored Brooklyn. The best way
to get to Trader Joe’s in Williamsburg is to drive. This store has indoor parking, a wonderful service and a gigantic store. After securing our groceries in the car, we drove to Greenpoint in search of a snack.

We parked in front of Brooklyn Charm at 616 Manhattan Avenue.
This shop specializes in the latest necklace fad, small charms on necklaces and bracelets.

A lovely and unique window display drew out attention to visit inside.

Dozens of chain styles and trays of all kinds of trimmings for your custom jewelry. the selection is vast and the store is enhanced WIlliam Morris design wallpaper.

The sales staff were friendly and we chatted about jewelry styles. We asked for a suggestion for a snack and the women suggested the pirogi restaurant down the street.

We found Pierozek a few doors down at 592 Manhattan Avenue.
This bright restaurant with balloons outside was an immediate welcome.

The menu is short and iots of combinations of pierogi are available.

I chose a combination of meat and cheese pierogi. The come with onions and sour cream. Piping hot, soft and delicious they were a great treat.

Liquor is served or delicious cappucino, for this cold and wet day. The wait staff were friendly and most of the other diners were Polish and enjoying this restaurant.

There are Pierogi shaped pillows for the true afficionado. Also, a cute poster from LOT Polish Airlines with a passger wrapped in a pierogi.

Next door is Charlotte Pattisserie, which was so tempting. After pierogi meal, we looked inside at the cake display and decided to return aother day.
